  I agree with the diagnosis, but think that the proposed solution is a 
non-sequitor.

  That is, I *strongly* agree that assmimilation is tearing away at the fabric 
of our people. 

  But I think it has nothing to do with sharing music -- and (imho) tons to do 
with lack of Jewish education (and other things). Rabbi Eric Yoffie claims that 
we are the worst Jewishly illiterate generation in history -- an amazing 
indictment.
