[HANASHIR:11607] Guitars on planes

That's a good question, Rick. I'd be interested in hearing from those who
have flown with their instruments since 9/11. I haven't been on a plane
since 1999 but have always managed to talk the airport employees into
letting me bring my guitar into the cabin. If the overhead bins are too
small or already occupied, ask if you can put it in the closet where the
flight attendants normally keep their jackets.

By the way - if you're flying with a guitar, don't forget to loosen the
strings significantly. The high altitude causes the strings to constrict. If
they haven't been loosened beforehand, the consequences for the neck could
be tragic.

See y'all in 2 days!
- Eric
