[HANASHIR:10903] Re: Adon Olam to Rock Around the Clock

>As I thought about this yesterday, I could start with the "traditional"
Adon Olam (Gerovitch) which feels like a Protestant hymn

Some (including me) think it's among the worst of the melodies . . . it
sounds like a funeral dirge to me!

>(I'm open to suggestions.)

There was a recent one written in Israel -- I think it was on a CD called
"Moshiach", and was pretty popular recently.

>Second, Shirona, I will guarantee you there will be a rock and roll
setting of the Sh'ma if there isn't one already.

In fact, I have heard a "rock" version of the Tzvika Pik version of Shma
(can't recall performer).
