To Shirona and the others on the list,

I am sorry if it appeared that I was in any way blaming Shirona for the 
computer virus as that certainly was not my intention.  I'm sure we all 
realized it was not being sent by her but rather was being sent completely 
against her will.  I am glad the problem has been solved and mail from 
Shirona now really IS from her and is completely safe to open.  -- Carol

This has truly been a nightmare.  The last batch of infected emails went out
on Dec. 10th
*while* a professional computer technician from CompUSA was working on it!!
Before that I had not turned on my computer (for about four days) until I
could find someone who can deal with this virus.

I too got this virus from someone on the list, but not through the list -
and didn't find it necessary to "point a blaming finger" on that person.
Carol - I appreciate that you sent out this warning out of a deep concern
for your fellow listmembers... however - seeing this "watch out for the
latest email from Shirona"  was nevertheless upsetting.  New viruses are
created (by sick people, obviously) all the time, and even if you have the
latest virus protection (which I do - from McAfee) they are designed to get
into your system anyway - and "promulgate their spawn", as Adrian put it.

 >From now on I will not open ANY attachments - not matter who they are 
from,
and was advised not to use the "preview" feature while opening emails.

Again I want to apologize for the viruses sent out by this computer... I
hope everyone knows that it was not carelessness or negligence on my part.
