[HANASHIR:10378] Re: Dreidle verses

I definitely encourage getting groups together at religion school, etc. to
create their own dreidle verses. This year I'm putting together a family
education morning - A Magical Miracle Tour - and one of the activities is
dreidle rhymes, but the groups are going to rap rather than sing them, and have
to choreograph their group to 'perform' their verses when we string together
all the groups' work as part of an end of morning celebration. I'm hoping we
have enough parents who attend the event to help create the rhymes with their
children.

We've had two very popular TV shows in the UK recently - 'Pop Stars' and 'Pop
Idols' so we're setting up the rooms where these activities will take place as
'recording studios' and asking 'Who has got what it takes to be a Maccabean Pop
Star' (we thought that the 'pop idol' term, while current with an ongoing TV
show here, might be less appropriate given the theme of Chanukah!)

If anyone else decides to try something like this it'd be great to hear how it
goes (or perhaps you already have in previous years) - this is all a bit of an
experiment in my new place of employment.
