[HANASHIR:10156] Family Blessing

I've been trying to figure out how to get people to hear, learn and sing
the "Family Blessing" at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, baby namings and weddings
since 1994! I wrote it for a couple (second marriage for both) who were
starting their family with a 13-year old son. "Dodi Li" just didn't cut
it -- I could almost hear the kid screaming "what about me?" That was
the beginning of a pretty good run of song-writing and performing. Now
it's time to share it with the much bigger Jewish community, and where
better to start than the song-leaders?

Since I recorded "We Are All Connected: Songs to Lift the Spirit" this
summer (with the producing/performing help of Laura Berkson), I
performed one of the songs, "Lo BaShamayeem Hee" at the closing program
at CAJE. Now, I'm sending copies as samples and trying to get bookings
all over the country. You can hear clips of the cd on Amazon.com
