[HANASHIR:10058] Beh Ana Rachetz

Gang,

I have 2 questions concerning the customary tune for "Beh Ana Rachetz" from
the Torah service. A pupil asked me tonight & I'm stumped.

1. Why is the word "Beh" repeated at the beginning? Just so the kahal gets
the correct pitch?
2. Why "Amen" at the end of the song, even though "Amen" doesn't appear in
the text?

Or did the composer just compose this setting that way?

Thanks,
Larry Kay
