[HANASHIR:9875] Re: pre-school music

Bella and Carol, thank you. Although you were responding to someone else,
your ideas have given me hope. After my very first session teaching Sunday
School music (seven 15-minute sessions, 5 songs each, and one school-wide
dance-a-thon), I thought I would never talk again, much less sing. Since my
husband has one of those headless microphones, I'll start practicing with
that. Since I haven't even sung into a regular microphone before, I'll have
to admit, it sounds a little intimidating. My talents are more in the
enthusiasm range than vocal quality. But this sounds much better than trying
to sing loud enough for all to hear.

By the way, I'd like to thank all of you for the help you offered when I
first started putting my curriculum together. I think our first session went
well. Fortunately for nervous me, the children already knew a few of the
songs we sang. I don't think I could have been as organized and prepared
without your help and ideas. And I'm pretty sure the children enjoyed it.
During Tashlich yesterday, many of our budding songleaders came up to me and
told their parents I was their music teacher. Thank you all for taking the
time to share your knowledge.
