This is the rule for Chanukah candles, but aren't we _supposed_ to use the
shabbos candlelight to beautify our homes?  (Which is why, e.g., it is
contrary to halacha to light candles and leave the house immediately,
because one hasn't _used_ them; and why we are supposed to light them
within eyesight of our shabbos dinners?)
