[HANASHIR:9826] Re: Spiritual Energy/Spirtual Light



Although each person may have his own private motivations, the lighting of
Shabbos lights is to be done, according to Jewish law, only in honor of
Shabbos.

I know of no reason not to light another light just before the Shabbos
lighting, however.

I tend to think of any lighting - even for yartzeit - as more a celebration
than of grief.  It's hard to associate light with loss.
