[HANASHIR:9819] Re: songs, in light of today's events

I thank everyone for sharing their ideas for songs and programs at this tragic
time in our history. As we prepare for Rosh hashanah, we must learn to set
aside differences and focus on commonality between our brothers and sisters and
pray together for those who are missing, injured or have been killed by this
cowardly act of terrorism and lend support to bereaved families and friends.
Last night at our Town Green we held an
Interfaith Service with 2,000 people in attendance. At the conclusion of the
Service we each lit a candle
and held it high for all to see as we sang and prayed together. This is a time
for coming together and recognizing the Divinity in all human beings. Shanah
Tovah, Happy,
Healthy and Peaceful New Year to all of my wonderful colleagues on the list who

serve to raise the spiritual IQ of our children, the leaders of tomorrow,
through music and study. You are an inspiration to me.
