[HANASHIR:9689] Re: Mi Chamocha grammar

Boker Tov all,
My youngest daughter learned this Midrash, and actually taught it from the
Bimah when she was 9 or 10
Kvell :-)
As B'nai Yisrael stood frozen with fear on the shores, Nachshon Ben Aminadav
found the faith and courage to step into the waters. He walked farther and
farther, the waters growing deeper with each step. Yet his faith did not
falter. With each step the water reached higher, until his mouth and nose
were covered and it seemed he would surely drown. At that moment he opened
his mouth to declare "Mi Chamocha..." the "Ch" sound occurring as the waters
rushed into his mouth. The instant the words were spoken, the waters receded
and he continued his praise with "Mi Kamocha."
Shabbat Shalom,
Bella
