[HANASHIR:9414] "Life Cycle" solist - fees

Hey, Gang,

I am going to be a "life cycle soloist" (for want of a better term) for my
synagogue, singing/chanting for weddings and funerals when requested by the
people involved.  My rabbi asked me to give her a fee estimate she could
quote people.  Gotta pass this one to you.  What should my initial estimate
be for singing / chanting at a wedding or funeral?

And while I'm at it, what would be good printed or recorded resources - both
classical & contemporary - for "life cycle" songs and chants?
