[HANASHIR:9276] Please-No Attachments on the List

Chuck et al:

Please do not include attachments when sending to the hanashir list (or, in
general, any list.) If you have an item to share, please place it in text
only form in the body of the message, or, alternatively, if it is formatted,
or in a file form like mp3, Finale(tm), etc. please simply ask people to
email you privately and send it to them that way. Items of extraordinary
significance or that may see wide usage I may choose to post at the web
site.

The rationale for not sending attachments is several-fold:

1. Some email servers and applications still cannot handle them properly.
2. Some email servers and ISPs restrict message size, or limit message
volume based on total size of all messages-attachments tend to increase
message size greatly.
3. There are many people out there who won't have the requisite software to
utilize or view attachments in certain formats.
4. They won't be handled properly for many people who receive the list in
digest form.
5. Many current email user applications, due to the proliferation of
viruses, make it very difficult if not impossible to access email with
attachments.

Thanks for understanding. We try to make the Hanashir list as useful as
possible for everybody-this sometimes requires restraint by subscribers.

Subject: [HANASHIR:9272] Religious School Songs from Hava Nashira

I played two songs at the Religious School sharing session on Saturday.
One
was "The Counting Song," which counts to ten in Hebrew. The other was
"Torah
Sheli," which is a rewrite of "Stand By Me."

The lyrics are attached as Word documents.
