Whew.......

I just got a call from a friend who said, " I heard that they had you going 
kind of nonstop on this thing....." I tried to explain it to her, and in a 
moment of clarity amidst my exhausted and fog of HN, I explained to her the 
following:

"You know how you feel when the cantor or songleader sings a gorgeous and 
inspiring melody on Shabbat or the High Holidays? It can keep you high for 
hours, even days! Now imagine being with virtually ALL the best songleaders 
you've ever met. 130 of them. These are people who try to live this type of 
music almost every day of their lives. Now imagine singing and learning and 
praying and jamming together with this group of people for at least 10-12 
hours a DAY (sometime even all night), for 4 DAYS! It's overwhelming! You are 
totally filled up and you become thoroughly exhausted.  But only in the very 
best way possible. It's the biggest WOW you've ever experienced or felt. And 
this all happened with some of the worst, cold, rainy weather you could 
imagine. Just imagine that kind of music..."

Can't wait to do it all again...Whew...
