I was lucky enough to be given a present the other day of a large number of 
CDs put out by Rockport Records. I am slowly working my way through them and 
getting immense enjoyment from them.

Among them are From Generation to Generation, a musical treasury from Central 
Synagogue featuring my dear colleague, Cantor Richard Botton and his 
predecessor, Cantor Frederick Lechner; Darius Milhaud "Service Sacre, also 
featuring Frederick Lechner; the Bloch "Sacred Service" conducted by Bloch 
himself. 

This small recording house specializes in putting out reissues of 
performances, mostly with Jewish content or Jewish connections,  that need to 
be heard. I visited their site at
