As the person who made the original post about halacha and music, I have
been following the discussion with interest.  As you may have noticed, I
rather depend on the list to provide me with a community of professionals
who are deeply interested in music and Judaism and are willing to engage in
passionate discussion.  When a topic named in the subject line is not of
interest to me, I delete the message.  For me, the only point at which
Hanashir discussion becomes objectionable is on the few occasions when posts
are taken too personally and the list is used to make a personal attack.
