  With regards to Elana Sondel's request about whether to major or minor in 
  music with an eye to cantorial school, my suggestion is that if she is 
  planning to go to HUC-JIR-SSM that she find time to talk to or email Cantor 
  Ellen Dreskin at the school and have a chat with her. There are Hebrew 
  requirements that need to be met too. She can fill you in on all the 
  requirements and you can make an educated decision about your courses at 
  college.
