[HANASHIR:8674] Songleading Networks, Hebrew Songs Request, Summer Gig in San Francisco!

Hello All,

I know I just posted a long message earlier today, but this is on a
completely different topic, so here goes...

I am currently the coordinator of the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish
Songleading Network, which is very similar to the group that has started in
the Washington DC Area. We get together once a month to swap Jewish music
and share technique, and we have our own email list and roster, and help
refer each other gigs. We have a really a nice community going here, and
for folks in other regions with large numbers of songleaders who are
thinking about starting similar groups, I strongly recommend it--the
regular contact with musical colleagues is totally positive, and we find
that we always have a lot to learn from each other each month!

Also, if there are any SF Bay Area songleaders lurking on Hanashir who
would like to join us, please send me an email! Our next meeting is this
coming Monday Night!

Speaking of the Bay Area Jewish Songleading Network Email List, there were
two recent postings that I thought I would forward along to Hanashir, in
case anyone out there is interested and/or willing to help!

SUBJECT: Got easy Hebrew songs?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everybody on the songleaders network,

I'm looking for songs to add to my Yom Ha'atzmaut show which I'm
taking on the road to New York and Detroit this year.

Specifically, what I'm looking for is this:
songs for 3-7 year old children who already have at least a bit of
familiarity with Hebrew the songs should be in Hebrew or Heblish OR
can be songs in English about Israel. A call & response format is
best..., but anything that reinforces knowledge of Hebrew and/or
Israel is great.

If anyone has any suggestions, please please contact me at either
dianashmiana (at) hotmail(dot)com or (415)647-5042.

Any help is most appreciated!

B'shalom,
Diana Shmiana
