[HANASHIR:8248] Re: Some more Kol Isha clarification



Thank you for keeping me honest.  I did not intend to introduce Orthodox
"speaker" listening as a common form of practice, nor did I mean for the
image to be demeaning or hypocritical (i.e., men going to concerts where
they *knew* women would be singing).  The difference between real and
electronically processed voices I have heard (and experienced) in a number
of places (including among a number of my orthodox college friends).  I will
admit I extended the "speaker listening" metaphor from *one* case (and in
this I was in the wrong); I felt this case was feasible and made sense,
based on both a respect for the immediate environment and the man's desire
to adhere to Jewish law as he observed it.  Perhaps I was wrong.

But whatever the case, I NEVER wished for the image to reflect badly on the
various forms of Jewish orthodoxy (which I respect greatly).  Please accept
my apologies.
