I agree and....

It is possible that certification of some kind would also facilitate job 
acquisition as well as give one  more information and education.  I wanted to 
pursue certification to be a cantor, but the program as it stands now is 
really too rigourous at this time in my life.  I do sub as a cantorial 
soloist and do a fair amount of research on my own, but some kind of 
certification would make my skills more marketable as well as give me 
confidence that their is an “organization” that backs me up.  In the real 
world, there is often a formality that talent alone is not as good a 
requisite for job qualification as a piece of paper that says you have some 
kind of  certification.
