What an incredible week! My head is still reeling!

My suggestion: It was unfortunate that music programming was run
simultaneously in different venues. Many people left the arena Tuesday
night, to go to a different venue to hear other performers. Noah Budin and
Rick Recht played to a virtually empty arena. I realize that the "conflict"
was caused by the effort to offer as many varieties of edu-tainment as
possible. I'm sure it's a difficult balance to strike.

I would like to offer an alternative. At the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival
(between 5,000-8,000 attendees), they also have tons of programming, both
music and educational, but they do not run the performers in different venues
simultaneously. There is a day stage, afternoon stage, and evening stage,
each in its own venue, and its own time slot. Granted, I'm new to CAJE (yes,
I had a red #1 ribbon on my nametag!) and this list, so perhaps the
different-venues/different-time-slots thing has already been tried. But just
in case it hasn't, I wanted to offer it as a suggestion.
