[HANASHIR:6558] Tisha B'av

Chevre,

Please look to the tradition and you will find some beautiful "appropriate"
music to use for Tisha B'av: the cantillation of the book of lamentations
(notated in A.W. Binder's book Biblical Chant) and the melody to "Eli
Tziyon" as notated by Louis Lewandowsky. Eli Tziyon is a Piyut (poem)
traditionally recited on Tisha B'av, its melody may also be used in the
week(s) leading up to Tisha B'av for L'cha Dodi (combining the joy of
Shabbat with the sense of mourning).
