[HANASHIR:6087] songbook

Dear folks,
The Ritual committee of our congregation recently debated the need for a
separate songbook for services. Many of the songs we now sing are either not
translieterated in the siddur or are not written in the way we sing them
(i.e., - repetitions, skipped words, etc.) The concern is too many things for
congregants to manage.
So, I am wondering - do any of you use congregational songbooks, and if so,
how do people feel about them? Has it increased the participation of the
congregation?
FYI _ we have already addressed the copyright question and would follow
ethical and legal protocol if we decided to create the songbook.
Shabbat shalom to you all,
Iris Petroff
