[HANASHIR:5956] Re: Tape Recording at Hava Nashira

Lisa,

Great idea to have a convention company tape the sessions and sell them like
at the Biennial, but this is easier said than done. I actually looked into
this service for CAJE a few years ago. These companies are not interested
in doing small things. In fact, they have to be guaranteed a mimimum of
sales or they will not even consider the job. It was more than CAJE wanted
to be responsible for and Hava Nashira is much smaller.

It is a shame that many of us followed the rules last year at Hava Nashira
by not taping when we were told not to. We were told that a master tape was
being made and that we would all have the chance to obtain it. So, we
listened and waited.......... It has been a year and none of us have tapes
of much of the beautiful, interesting and new service music. I know
recordings were made, but where are they? This is really not fair and I am
sure more of us will be punching that record button on our own machines more
often this year. I also participated in a sharing session that was video
taped with the consent of all participants and we were promised a copy of
the video for our cooperation. I have never seen that either. This is not
very ethical practice. If help is needed to get these tapes duped, etc.
then why not ask for help. There are many on this list who could easily
make that happen and everyone would be happy and promises would be kept.
