[HANASHIR:5945] RE: high holiday pay

I think without the family service, $2000 would be rock-bottom. Emily

Subject: [HANASHIR:5938] high holiday pay

I often get requests (through the services I offer at Jewish
Entertainment Resources) from people to find someone to sing at their
congregation or Hillel for the high holidays. Often these are small
communities. I am wondering what is a reasonable amount for a
congregation like this to pay for someone to do an evening service for
each holiday, a morning service for each holiday, Yizkor and Neilah.
Also, how much more would they need to pay to offer a family service for
each holiday. These are places who do not have large budgets, so I am
wondering what would be the low end of the scale that someone would want
to be paid to travel to do the holidays. Of course, expenses would be
additional.
