[HANASHIR:5671] Helping Out Our Subscribers On AOL

As the previous message indicated, our AOL mail subscribers are having
trouble with Digests related to MIME. In addition, others on this list, on
certain email systems, also have problems with ANY message sent in a MIME
format.
YOU can help make this list easier for all subscribers to use. If you use an
email program that allows you to choose the format of outgoing messages,
PLEASE set it so that messages sent to hanashir are in PLAIN TEXT format,
and not HTML, enhanced ISO, or other formats that provide color, font,
emphasis and other attributes that require MIME encoding.
It may take some effort on your part, but most email software will allow you
to specify the format for outgoing email. HTML style email might look
pretty, but it can sure play havoc with others. Some email software, notably
MS Outlook, allows you to specify a particular format for emails to a
particular address-so you could set it so that all your emails to discussion
lists went out as plain text.
Thanks for helping each other out, chaverim.
Adrian
