[HANASHIR:5095] Re: texts needed

The following come from Hayom Yom, compiled by the Lubavitcher Rebbe Rabbi
Menachem Mendel Schneerson at the direction of his father in law the
Freideker Rebbe ( Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneerson the 6th Lubavitcher Rebbe).

1. My father said;
A Chassidic aphorism makes the head clear and the heart clean.
A Chassidic virtuous practice fills the home with light.
A Chassidic melody fortifies hope and trust, brings joyousness, and places
the home and family in a state of "light."

2. The Tzemach Tzedek composed many new melodies. He studied Torah aloud and
with song. It would happen that he would interrupt his studies, or his
writing Chassidus or responsa and sing some melody. My grandfather related
that from the sound of his melody he could tell in what subject he was then
occupied.

3. The procedure of "kashering" meat for eating- by purging it of forbidden
blood is soaking, salting and rinsing.These concepts in avodah;
"soaking"-immersing oneself in the Rebbes words, "salting"-yechidus,
"rinsing"- Chassidic song.

4. A chassidic melody is the quill of the heart.

good luck
