In 1943 the last members of Amsterdam's Portuguese Synagogue choir, Santo
Serviço were deported and killed.  Now, exactly 60 years later, Santo
Serviço has been re-established.  Our first public performance was opening
the recent Chazzanut Concert: Cantors, a faith in song at the Portuguese
Synagogue.

Our opening number, Baruch Habba, was removed from the PBS broadcast in
