Re: JEWISH-MUSIC digest 2644

Ma oseh, oseh hekhaluts
Kshehu ba, hu ba lakibuts
Ba lakibuts, rotse le'echol,
Roeh bachura, shocheach hakol!

I just wanted to translate this Hebrew verse of Tumbalaika which Adrianne or
Zemerl had included. As you'll see, the sentiment is a bit different than
in the Yiddish.

What does the pioneer do
When he comes to the Kibuts?
He comes to the Kibuts and wants to eat,
He sees a young woman, and forgets everything!
