Shtreiml in Concert Sunday March 16

Concert Announcement: Madrigaïa with Shtreiml. Sunday March 16, 2003. 20h00. La Sala Rosa. 4848 Boul. St-Laurent. $12 Adults. $8 Students.

Shtreiml performs it's mix of high-energy klezmer music led by Jason Rosenblatt on diatonic harmonica ("blues harp") and Josh Dolgin on accordion. The group will be joined by Madrigaia, Winnipeg's all-female a capella ensemble, who perform exquisite renditions of traditional folksongs with lush harmonies. Madrigaia's exploration of the music of Eastern Europe will include traditional songs and dance of Bulgarian, Serbian and Jewish origins.
