Concord, MA: Jewish Music Concert 3/15/2003

Four of greater Boston's best-known Klezmer musicians will be featured in
a unique performance titled "Music of Our Heritage: From Classic to Klez"
on Saturday March 15, at 8 pm.

Rosalie Gerut, Ilene Stahl, Evan Harlan, and Andy Blickenderfer - current
or former members of the Klezmer Conservatory Band of Boston, Shirim
Klezmer and Klezperanto - will be joined by musicians from the temple
community. The program will include rousing Klezmer selections as well as
music from the Chassidic tradition; liturgical pieces; classical music
(the Overture on Hebrew Themes by Prokofieff); several "classic" Israeli
songs and dance tunes; and Sephardic music from Spain, Iraq, and the
Balkans.

The concert is being sponsored by and is being held at Congregation Kerem
Shalom, which is located at 659 Elm Street in Concord, near the Concord
rotary on Route 2.  Tickets for the event are $15 and are available only at
the door.
