new CD "Testament"

Please excuse any duplication of this message.

FYI:
In 1996, a book called "Inherit The Truth" told the story of Anita
Lasker-Wallfisch.

Today I have received a copy of a CD called "Testament" which is really
quite a moving CD of classical music, primarily for cello and piano, or
groups of cello and piano. The documentary materials tell the story of
remembrance in quite a compelling way... the experiences of Ms. Lasker as a
child during the Holocaust and her internments in Auschwitz and
Bergen-Belsen. Ms. Lasker-Wallfisch survived and went to England and raise a
family of musicians (her son and grandsons)--They all perform on this CD.

It includes selections of music by Ernest Bloch, Ravel, with David Popper's
Requiem, George Whyte 's Nigun-Liberation, and Benjamin Wallfisch's
Aeternum, and portions of J.S. Bach Suite No. 3. Interspersed are spoken
sections with Anita Wallfisch and some texts of letters she wrote during the
Holocaust period.

With the upcoming remembrances of Kristallnacht next week, those who may
wish to listen to something that is both well-done and extremely well
performed and moving, may want to get hold of this.

"Testament" is avilable from Amazon.com, Tower Records and Barnes & Noble,
according to the press release. If others are carrying it, you may want to
let the list know. Put out by Our World Entertainment.
