There's part 1 of an interview with Romanian musicologist Speranta
Radulescu, along with some nice photos of musicians, at:
http://www.passion-music.co.uk/articles/s_radulescu_part_1.htm
She was the first person to record the Clejani musicians known now as the
"Taraf de Haidouks," and she has a small label called Ethnophonie.
<<We decided to record peasant, urban and religious traditional music from
all over the country and release them on cassettes and CDs. Romanian music,
but also the music of other ethnic groups, such as Hungarians, Jews,
Ukrainians, and Gypsies. >>
