"Ritual and Dance Songs and Melodies of 1915-1933" is a logical
extension of the Anthology of Jewish Music.
Holiday and feast songs, provincial festival and wedding songs, dance and comic
melodies performed by the most popular Jewish singers of the day; Moris
Schwartz, Aaron Lebedeff, Jakob Jakobs, Henry Gerro, etc. give the rare
possibility to dip into the genuine atmosphere of a folk holiday. The songs
have come to us down through the years, preserving the unique mood of sincere
happiness.
