The Spirit, the Struggle and the Songs: Remembering the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

Saturday, April 6 at 8pm and Sunday, April 7 at 4pm

At the Jewish Theater of New England, Newton JCC

Created by the Workmen's Circle to commemorate the anniversary of the Warsaw 
Ghetto Uprising.

This stirring program weaves together historical narrative, excerpts from 
ghetto diaries, and the music and poetry of the
Jewish resistance to create a dramatic retelling of the inspiring resistance 
against all odds. Featuring The Workmen's Circle
Yiddish Community Chorus, acclaimed klezmer musician Hankus Netsky and soloist 
Betty Silberman.
