  Announcing a rare opportunity---2 SINGING WORKSHOPS WITH MICHAEL ALPERT

Michael is a pioneering figure in the renaissance of klezmer and 
Yiddish
music in the US, and a leading researcher and teacher of Jewish and 
other
Eastern European music and dance traditions. Fresh from a European tour 
as
a member of the ensemble Brave Old World, he'll be in the Bay Area only
briefly.

Workshop #1: Yiddish songs, Saturday, March 30, 3-5 pm
Workshop #2: Ukranian, Hungarian, Russian songs, Wednesday, April 3, 
7-9pm

Both Workshops will be in Berkeley; $18 for one, $30 for both
