KLEZMERPALOOZA AT YALE!!!!

Hey all: I recently joined your list and have very much enjoyed being
included in your discussions. As you may know, the college klezmer scene
is growing, and its spreading Jewish and Yiddish music to students around
the country. I wanted to let you know about an exciting college klezmer
festival happening one week from today, at Yale University,

Klezmerpalooza 2002 at Yale, Feb 24

Klezmerpalooza is an annual intercollegiate festival of Jewish music that
began in 1999. This year will feature two very exciting events. First,
Henry Sapoznik will lead a masterclass workshop, free and open to the
public at 10am-12pm in the Branford College Common Room, 74 High Street,
at Yale University. Second, the klezmer bands from Yale, Columbia,
Princeton, Brown, New England Conservatory, and Mount Holyoke will play
together at Toad's Place in downtown New Haven (300 York St.). Tickets to
the concert are $10 for non-students, and students of all ages get in
free. Web: www.yale.edu/klezmer/Klezmerpalooza. For more information
