Now, Adrianne, a little less judgemental, zayt azoy gut. When the Barry
Sisters swung Bei Mir Bistu Shein - bastardization or the evolution of a live
musical heritage? Brave Old World's "Feter Elye", bastardization? There is
plenty of room for preservation (let there be more), but also
experimentation/exploration/evolution(and more and more). "Traditonal"
klezmer changed, picked up influences from surrounding "popular" music and
yet remained Jewish. We're all seeking to make or hear good music and
explore our cultural identity and boundaries. SAK, I say, go for it!

Acknowledged. Very well stated to boot.
