The cover of the Dec 10 New Yorker is hilarious, full of yiddishe tam.

It's by Kalman and Meyerowitz, and is a cartoon regional map of "New Yorkistan."

There are small provinces within each borrough, with names like Shatoosh, Upper 
Kvetchnya, Feh, Lubavistan, Fattushis, Fungeddaboutitstan and 
Youdontunderstanditstan.  And, let us not forget, the twin provinces of Irate 
and Irant.
