giving blood

As of this (WED)morning, contrary to a previously made statement, there is NOT 
enough blood, especially O-, so they are suggesting you call your local 
Salvation Army and Red Cross to find out where blood can be given, as well as 
money and clothing which is also needed. This comes from CBS News and an 
emergency worker friend who is spending sleepless hours tending to the injured.
