Sarit Hadad is the current "Mizrahi" female super star. Her earlier
recordings were more "Oriental" than her last CD which was a HUGE dance hit.
Haven't heard her new CD yet. She also recorded a great CD in Arabic (her
best seller at Hatikvah) --she is very popular in Lebanon, and Jordan.
She has a very large following in France where these is a VERY large
Judeo-Arab community, and even recorded a CD, "Live In France".
Tippex is one of the most popular groups in Israel for quite a while, however
has never had a major following outside of Israel.
