In re a recent posting (which I now can't find) regarding whether Jews can 
play jazz with honesty/integrity/competence, etc. (this probably covers a 
few postings), a NEW YORK OBSERVER article re David Krakauer et al. quoted 
Stan Getz as saying, "I try to play black, but it always comes out sounding 
Jewish."
