Re: Hatikvah melody

Robert,

I did hear the Hatikvah sung by the Zamir Chorale of Boston in a
concert at Tanglewood. I'm not sure that it was Burger's setting that
I heard. But looking through the the Zamir Chorale of Boston recorded
playlist on their website, I only see Burger's setting and one arr. by
Ben-Haim (I assume the traditional one). So you may well be correct.
I will confirm when I have time to look for the program.

Right now I'm working on the second part of my music/video Blacks and
Jews program (1950 - present) to be presented at our synagogue's
retreat this weekend (Camp Isabella Friedman, Falls Village, CT). It
will include music from spirituals, 50s, rock, pop, folk, rap, show,
klezmer, Yiddish, cartoon, children's, comedy, and, I expect, recorded
music by some list members (David Chevan and Wolf Krakowski).
Shirona's Ein Keloheinu may also make its debut at our synagogue.

Bob
