In Modern Hebrew one also calls it Khaltura. The same meaning as in Russian -
also for short term jobs, but also for gigs.

Don't know the Yiddish, but Russian is "haltura" (khaltura), but it means a
shoddy sort of thing, a jobbing date as opposed to art.
