Romanian slap bass playing [was: hot, HOT! Romanian musicians tonight]

Dear list members,

Andy Zadrozny has given me permission to forward his message to the list. I
thought it was quite interesting, especially after our discussion here. I'd
love to get the comments of any bassists on the list.

(Alas, I was so busy blathering away with one of the fiddlers in the
greenroom after the concert that I completely missed seeing Andy's
mini-lesson.)

The bass player in the group ("Taraf de Haidouks") is named Cristinel
Turturica.

Best,
Sandra
