Re: bulgar holds

Hi Helen,

As you have seen in the notes, the handhold has been taught differently in
different workshops. Both handholds certainly seem appropriate. The W hold
seems more comfortable, and takes up less room.

I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts about whether the different holds come
from different areas, or if they are appropriate for different tempos?

  Subject: bulgar holds

I'm wondering if people who have attended klezmer dance workshops or teach
them could tell me which types of handholds are used with bulgars. I've read
shoulder hold in some descriptions and W hold in others. Are both appropriate?
