klezmer loshn

I did a lecture/demo on klezmer music and dances for a group of grade 7-8 
students today.  We were talking about klezmer loshn and a couple of 
questions came up for which I wasn?t entirely sure of the answers:
1)      Were there different versions of klezmer loshn used in different 
geographical areas (I?m guessing there must have been, but were there?)?
2)      Did the klezmorim who worked in the Chasidic courts use klezmer loshn?

By the way, I asked the kids about where in the social order  of the shtetl 
they thought klezmorim would be;  the kids all thought that the musicians 
would have been at the top of the social scale.
