Zeta also makes a stand up bass which appears to possibly be more
transportable than a double-bass (on airplanes, in particular). Does anyone
have any experience with this and can they describe the tone of this
instrument (as Hankus did above) and how it compares with a double-bass which
is amplified with a pickup? Or does anyone have a better solution to the
bass transport problem? (On our last flight, the plane was delayed about 20
minutes while they tried to figure out how to fit it into the seat which we
had bought for it.)
