        Known for melding traditional Yiddish music and songs with social
consciousness in a lively, folksy style,  the 18-year-old Wholesale Klezmer
Band  has  an uncompromised European sound  -- a blend of original songs
and timeless melodies --  that's steeped in the Jewish tradition of tikkun
olom, repair of the world.

        With four albums to its credit, Wholesale  has performed at
coffeehouses, concert halls, festivals and dances, shared the Carnegie Hall
stage with Pete Seeger and Sweet Honey in the Rock ... and played at Bill
Clinton's presidential inaugural.
